One of the coolest things about buying a house that already has a garden, is finding out what is in it, and how it looks during different seasons. Kermit House came with lots of flowery bushes, shrubs and fruit trees, and as summer progresses, it’s been a delight to discover them all.
It’s part of the experience to make the yard uniquely ours, but that is a long term project. We both love much of what is already here, so using that as a foundation to build on, makes sense.
Of course, Kelly has many plans of her own, and she has already started adding her own details. Most major operations have been put on hold, while we find out what is already here.
Kelly’s end goal is a backyard that is reminiscent of a resort, and to that end she already has the lighting down. I let her run the show and basically just do what she points at, because I know it’s going to be amazing.
